MedicalMet's September and October 2026 product update puts account security first. Clinics can now switch on multi-factor authentication (MFA), passwords are held to stronger rules, and you can sign out of every active session at once. New clinics also start faster, with a setup matched to their type of practice. On top of that: smoother material usage and lab billing, sharper revenue reports, AI treatment notes in the MedicalMet BIZ app, and LHDN e-invoices for your MedicalMet subscription.
Here are the headline changes from the last two months (MedicalMet release notes, September–October 2026):
- MFA, password rules and session control — stronger protection for every login.
- Faster onboarding — new clinics start with a setup that fits their practice.
- Material usage and lab billing — less manual recording and clearer costs.
- Sharper reports — better revenue, performance and panel reporting.
- LHDN e-invoices for subscriptions — for Malaysian clinics.
- Front desk, treatment notes and BIZ — quicker check-in, consultation and billing.
How Does MedicalMet Protect Clinic Logins with MFA?
A password alone is a weak lock on a patient database. Passwords get reused, written on sticky notes and shared between staff. Multi-factor authentication adds a second check at login, so a stolen password is not enough to get in.
MFA in MedicalMet is optional, and your clinic decides when to switch it on. Once it is on, staff confirm each new login with a second step before they reach any patient record. It covers both the web app and the MedicalMet BIZ app. See multi-factor authentication for the details, or read how we protect clinic data on our security page.
Stronger Passwords and Session Control
Passwords must now meet stronger complexity rules, with a live checklist that guides staff as they type. You can also sign your account out of every active session in one step — handy if a phone goes missing or a staff member leaves.
An Audit Trail for Treatment Notes
Treatment notes now have their own audit log, and the existing logs for patient and product records are faster. Together with MFA, this gives you a clearer record of who changed what — useful for internal reviews and for your data-protection duties. Our PDPA compliance checklist for clinics covers the rest.
“As more clinics run their whole practice on MedicalMet, a stolen password should never be enough to open a patient record. MFA, stronger passwords and session control are now built in — and each clinic decides when to switch them on.”

How Does MedicalMet Set Up a New Clinic Faster?
Starting from a blank system is the slowest part of switching clinic software. Someone has to build appointment types, templates, a price list and a product catalogue before the first patient walks in.
Since October, Smart Clinic Onboarding gives new clinics a ready-made starting point matched to their type of practice, so you review and adjust instead of building from scratch. General practice clinics come first, with more specialties to follow. Everything stays editable under Settings, and our team can walk you through it.
Already Using MedicalMet?
The new onboarding setup applies to new accounts only. Your existing settings, templates and price lists are untouched.
Material Usage, Lab Billing and Revenue Reports
The co-treatment, salary and material usage features from our July and August update got a round of upgrades shaped by clinic feedback. Recording material usage is now quicker for the services you perform most. Lab invoices handle itemised lab work, and salary schemes are more flexible for the different ways clinics pay their practitioners.
Sharper Revenue, Panel and Performance Reports
- Practice Revenue — more accurate splits by practitioner and category, including co-treated visits.
- Performance report — a new sales-style view of how your clinic is doing.
- Panel reports — new referral and summary reports for insurance panels.
- Dashboard — payment totals at a glance on the dashboard.
- Cost price privacy — keep product cost prices hidden from staff who do not need them.
Do MedicalMet Subscription Invoices Support LHDN e-Invoicing?
Yes. From September 2026, MedicalMet issues LHDN e-invoices through MyInvois for subscription payments from Malaysian clinics. We submit them as the supplier, so your clinic does not need to submit anything.
To receive an e-invoice in your company's name, add your tax details under Settings → Company Information: your Tax Identification Number (TIN), Business Registration Number (BRN), and SST number if you have one. Without them, your payment is included in a consolidated e-invoice instead. In late September we added hints to the form to make the right numbers easier to find.
Common Mix-Up: Employer Number vs TIN and BRN
Your LHDN registration letter often lists two numbers. The income tax number is your TIN — for a Sdn. Bhd. it usually starts with "C". The employer number, which starts with "E", is neither your TIN nor your BRN. For the BRN, use your 12-digit SSM registration number.
For your own clinic's e-invoicing obligations, see our complete LHDN e-invoice guide for clinics and the LHDN e-invoice feature.
Front Desk, Treatment Notes and Mobile Improvements
Small changes add up across hundreds of patients a week. This round smooths the busiest parts of the day — check-in, consultation and billing — on both the web app and mobile.
Front Desk and Queue
- Call and message patients from the room queue, and show patient names on the queue display
- Change due worked out for you on cash payments
- Patient numbers organised by branch
- Faster patient search by passport or IC number
- Clearer medical alerts that reach every practitioner
Treatment Notes and the MedicalMet BIZ App
- AI treatment notes in your language — AI treatment note responses follow the language you choose.
- AI medicine suggestions — AI-assisted prescribing from your clinic's own medicine list, with built-in safety checks.
- Dental charting — for dental clinics, the treatment note now opens as an interactive tooth chart.
- ECG integration — readings from a supported ECG device go straight into the patient record.
- Consultation timing — each note records how long the consultation took.
- Invoice from the note — bill straight from the treatment note.
- Signed questionnaires — patients can sign questionnaire forms digitally.
- MedicalMet BIZ — AI treatment notes on mobile, notifications, payment figures on the dashboard and reminders sent from the app. See MedicalMet BIZ.
