On Saturday, 7 February 2026, the MedicalMet group of companies held its annual dinner at M World Hotel Petaling Jaya in the Bayan Hall on Level M. The theme this year was Cosplay — and the team did not hold back. From Super Mario and Winnie the Pooh to Harry Potter characters and traditional warriors, every table was a showcase of creativity and commitment to the theme.
Why Cosplay for the Annual Dinner?
Every year, the annual dinner gives us a chance to step away from the day-to-day and celebrate the people behind the product. This year, we wanted a theme that would bring out everyone's personality — and cosplay delivered exactly that. The costume choices said a lot about each person: some went for laughs, others went for accuracy, and a few went all out with handmade outfits that clearly took weeks to prepare.
The result was a room full of characters — literally. Walking into Bayan Hall felt like stepping into a convention floor, except everyone knew each other and the food was significantly better. Families joined in too, with kids in full costume adding another layer of energy to the evening.
Live Performances by Our Own Team
One of the highlights of the night was discovering just how talented the people we work with every day really are. The entertainment was entirely homegrown — no external performers, no hired acts. Everything on stage came from our own team members.
The lineup included dance routines, solo and group singing performances, a theatrical skit that had the audience in stitches, and even an original song composed by one of our team members. For many in the audience, it was the first time seeing their colleagues in this light — the developer who quietly ships code all week turning out to be a natural performer on stage.
- Dance performances — choreographed group routines and solo acts
- Singing — from ballads to crowd singalongs
- Theatre — a comedic skit written and performed by the team
- Original music — a song composed and performed by a team member
These performances earned their own set of awards. Three performance awards were given out on the night, recognising the acts that best combined creativity, effort, and entertainment value. The competition was genuinely close, and the crowd reactions made it clear that every performer had earned their moment on stage.
Awards: Best Project, Best Dress, and Performance
Beyond the performances, the evening featured several award categories that recognised contributions across the group of companies throughout the year.
The Best Project Award recognised the team behind the most impactful project delivered over the past year. This award reflects the collaborative effort that goes into building and shipping products that serve healthcare professionals across Southeast Asia — from AI treatment notes to LHDN e-invoicing and everything in between.
The Best Dress Awards were a crowd favourite. Separate prizes were given for the best male, female, and kids' costumes. The winners were chosen based on creativity, effort, and how fully they embodied their characters. Seeing colleagues and their families transform into completely different personas made for some of the most memorable moments of the night.

What Makes the Annual Dinner Special at MedicalMet?
MedicalMet builds AI-powered clinic management software used by healthcare professionals across Malaysia, Singapore, and Southeast Asia. The work is demanding — shipping features, supporting clinics, and constantly improving the platform takes sustained focus and dedication from every team member.
The annual dinner is our way of pausing to acknowledge that effort. It is not just a party — it is a deliberate investment in the relationships and culture that make the work possible. When people feel valued, they bring their best to the office. And when teams bond over shared laughter and memories, the collaboration that follows is stronger for it.
- Recognises individual and team contributions through meaningful awards
- Reveals hidden talents that strengthen team appreciation and camaraderie
- Includes families — building a sense of community beyond the office
- Creates shared memories that carry into daily work and collaboration
- Reinforces that the people behind the product are the company's greatest asset
“Building software that clinics depend on every day takes more than technical skill — it takes a team that genuinely enjoys working together. Nights like these remind us why we do what we do.”
Looking Ahead to the Rest of 2026
The 2026 annual dinner set the tone for the year ahead. After closing out 2025 with a team trip to Sapa, Vietnam, and kicking off 2026 with a cosplay night that brought the entire group together, the energy across the company is high. We have an ambitious product roadmap, new markets to serve, and a team that has proven — both on stage and off — that they are ready for the challenge.
To every team member, family member, and partner who made the night unforgettable — thank you. Here is to making 2026 our best year yet.
